Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. has
shown us the best examples of public relation skills, from his excellent
diplomatic skills with leaders from other tribes to the most trivial things,
like protecting other people's feelings.
The Prophet has never refused a gift from his
companions, and disallow muslims to do so.
He also mentioned that one ought not to refuse a
perfume from someone if he is offered one.
It might have something to do with being polite, as
not to make others feel like their presents or gifts are not worthy of accepting.
Also, he never criticized or made bad comments on
food he ate, no matter how bad it tasted. The one who prepared it might be
around and get hurt by what he said.
Before we say something, although it feels like it
wouldn't hurt anybody, take a few seconds to think if it might offend someone
in an unintentional way.
Remember, words are sharper than sword
